Financial Analyst / Financial Forensic Investigator

India

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Data & Anomaly Analyst to support our senior financial investigation team and Chartered Accountant. The successful candidate will specialize in analyzing financial information from Tally, Excel spreadsheets, and ERP systems to identify, investigate, and report financial anomalies and potential fund parking related to tax evasion.

Key Responsibilities:

· Extract, consolidate, and analyze financial data from Tally, Excel records, and ERP platforms.

· Identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, and patterns indicative of financial anomalies or fund parking.

· Investigate records for potential irregularities, including tax evasion strategies and noncompliance.

· Perform periodic audits of transaction logs and reconciliations across multiple data sources.

· Collaborate with the Senior Financial Investigator and Chartered Accountant to report findings and support forensic reviews.

· Prepare clear documentation, summaries, and presentation materials on investigation outcomes.

· Recommend corrective actions and controls to strengthen compliance and mitigate financial risk.

· Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information in accordance with company policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field.

· Proven experience with Tally accounting software, including report extraction and data analysis.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization.

· Experience working with ERP systems and comfort analyzing large, complex datasets.

· Strong analytical skills to detect financial anomalies and suspicious fund movements.

· Sound understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial investigation techniques.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and report-writing abilities.

· Integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive investigative approach.

Reporting:

· Directly reports to the Senior Financial Investigator and Chartered Accountant.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience in forensic accounting or fraud investigation.

· Professional certification (CA, CFE, CMA, or similar) is an advantage.

· Working knowledge of data analytics or business intelligence software is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹480,000.00 per year
