Financial Analyst II

Purpose

The Financial Analyst II supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities that inform business decision-making and operational performance. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, developing forecasts, and supporting budgeting processes while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and accountability. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Position Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances against budget and forecast
• Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets and forecasts
• Track actuals against plan and identify risks and opportunities
• Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to inform decision-making

Business & Operational Support

• Partner with department leaders to support cost management and financial planning
• Analyze operational and program-level financial data to support performance tracking
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations as requested

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and data quality
• Support documentation of financial procedures and controls
• Assist with audits and compliance activities as needed
