Position: Data and Financial Analyst
Position Reports To: CFO
Position Overview
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with Finance, Sales, Procurement and Production, the Data and Financial Analyst will build and support models for business and financial planning and forecasting. The Company is transitioning its systems and processes, and this role will support the Finance, Sales, Production and Procurement teams with tools and analytics to support their operational and financial planning activities.
Major Responsibilities
- Analysis: Researches and mines internal and external data bases, BI reports, and builds computer models that extract, organize, and extrapolate relevant data into recommendations that contribute to driving the planning process, and results in the Company achieving its financial and business goals.
- Forecasting tools: Builds and supports models and tools to enable the Sales, Production, Procurement and Finance teams to generate Demand forecasts, business plans, budgets and quarterly forecast updates. The tools will provide basic variance analysis to allow for analytics to aid in decision making and planning opportunities.
- Projects: Works on special projects as assigned, which may include work to recommend process improvements that enhance productivity. Work with the ERP project teams to align data models and interaction of the forecasts and D365.
- Collaboration: Working with each of the functional teams to align on forecast and tool requirements as well as analytics needs and support.

- Work Quality: Analysis, recommendations, reports, tools and models are accurate, contain no errors, and are completed on a timely basis in line with project and work specifications
- Customer Satisfaction: Internal client feedback rates the effort, work, and business relationships developed and demonstrated by the Data and Financial Analyst as effective and collaborative
- Contribution To The Business: Delivers measurable added value to financial and business analysis through the tools, analysis and support to the business which will contribute to integrated planning, analysis and performance management across the business.

Qualifications & Considerations For The Position
- Has 1-5 years of data analytics and modelling experience, working within a Finance and/or Sales/Marketing function preferably with a multi-national manufacturing and distribution organization
- Advanced knowledge and experience in using Excel, PowerPoint, BI, and Dynamics 365 (or other Enterprise DB Management software) to research, as well as basic programming experience across Excel, Python, SQL, uncover, and communicate powerful analyses that support business planning and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to handle project work to interact and support multiple functions and business needs while maintaining deadlines
- Possesses in-depth computer skills to produce effective spreadsheets, reports, documents, and presentations as required
- Collaborative approach with all stakeholders to gather and present information affecting business decisions and building tools to support business needs
- Communicates effectively, with clarity, both in writing and verbally, with executives, in one-to- one and group situations
- Proven experience in using quality standards, relational database analysis, computer assisted analysis, and business case modelling in approaching and addressing business problems and opportunities
Pay: $60,000 - $80,000.00 per year
- Eligible for discretionary bonus
