Financial Controller
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Controller to lead and manage all financial operations within our organization. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing complex financial systems while driving efficiency, accountability, and financial transparency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory standards
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial forecasting to support operational and strategic goals
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with executive leadership
- Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory agencies
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA or MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards
- Experience with internal controls and compliance frameworks such as SOX
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or governmental accounting environments preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
