Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

FP&A Analyst

Description

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

A key focus of this position will be reviewing revenue and AP postings, as well as allocation processes, to support splitting the company’s P&L across multiple business units. You will work closely with the CFO on this initiative and continue to review daily, weekly, and monthly financial activity to ensure accurate reporting.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights and partnering with cross-functional teams. You’ll be part of a fast-growing, performance-driven company where finance plays a direct role in business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform variance analysis comparing actuals to forecasts and budgets; identify trends, risks, and key drivers
  • Build financial models to support business cases, investments, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other teams to provide actionable insights
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close through financial analysis and reporting
  • Review revenue and expense postings to ensure accurate allocation across business units
  • Assist in improving FP&A tools, systems, and processes
  • Support commission calculations, reporting, and statements
  • Partner with Payroll on compensation tracking and special pay arrangements
  • Collaborate with Accounting to monitor accounts receivable and related reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar analytical role
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems or planning tools preferred
  • Experience using AI tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to present to non-finance teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statements
  • Experience in transportation/logistics is a plus

We operate in a fast-paced environment that blends a professional office setting with the grit of the logistics industry. We are currently implementing a new TMS and expanding our financial structure by separating our P&L into multiple entities, with plans for continued growth, including expansion into Mexico.

Pay: $73,931.14 - $80,000.00 per year
