Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch

Job Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for leading the organization’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. This role provides actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop, manage, and enhance financial forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Compare actual financial results to forecasts and budgets; investigate variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and analysis to senior leadership
  • Build, maintain, and improve financial models to support business units and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational objectives
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes by providing analysis and insights
  • Provide leadership with actionable recommendations for cost savings, operational efficiencies, and revenue growth
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field
  • Master’s degree, CPA, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Phocas)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
