Role Overview
Lunate Capital is seeking a high‑calibre Financial Planning Analyst with a strong foundation in corporate finance, valuation, and financial modelling to support strategic decision‑making across the group. The role is ideal for a technically strong analyst with 4–5 years of experience who can operate comfortably in a fast‑paced, investment‑focused environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and transaction support, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and investment teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead and support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes

Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analysis and key performance insights

Develop and maintain integrated financial models (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) at both entity and group level

Track business performance against strategic and financial objectives
Financial Modelling & Valuation

Build and review advanced financial models, including DCFs, comparable company analysis, and scenario/sensitivity analysis

Support investment evaluations, capital allocation decisions, and strategic initiatives
-
Assist with valuation work for new investments, portfolio companies, and internal assessments
Strategic & Commercial Analysis

Partner with senior leadership to provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making

Analyse business cases, new initiatives, and market opportunities

Support board and investment committee materials, including presentations and financial analysis
Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Support

Work closely with investment, strategy, and operations teams to ensure financial alignment

Act as a finance business partner, translating complex financial data into clear insights
-
Support ad‑hoc analysis requests from senior management
Candidate Profile
Experience
-
4–5 years of relevant experience in:

Corporate finance
-
Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
-
Valuation / transaction services
-
Investment banking, private equity, or consulting (strongly preferred)
Technical Skills

Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel‑based, end‑to‑end models)

Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, comparables, precedents)

Excellent financial analysis and forecasting capabilities

Strong PowerPoint skills for senior‑level presentations
Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or ACA are highly desirable
