Position Overview

MEC is seeking a highly motivated and analytical FP&A Analyst to join our corporate finance team. Serving as a key catalyst for growth, this role will translate financial and operational data into actionable strategic insights.

The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional leadership—including Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering —to build robust financial models, drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, and track KPIs that directly impact our bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Long-Range Planning: Assist in developing and executing annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic plans. Collaborate with department and plant managers to pressure-test assumptions and identify risks/opportunities.
  • Management Reporting & Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages. Conduct deep-dive variance analysis (Actuals vs. Forecast/Budget), delivering clear explanations of business drivers to leadership.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain scalable financial models to support strategic pricing analyses, margin optimizations, inventory management, capital expenditure and cash flow.
  • Systems & Digital Transformation: Partner with IT/Data teams to build and maintain interactive dashboards, constantly seeking to automate manual reporting processes to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Support other accounting, treasury and tax functions as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CFA or CPA preferred.

· 2 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, public accounting, or related finance roles.

· Advanced Excel skills, including a strong command of financial modeling and scenario/sensitivity analysis.

· Experience with ERP systems; Experience with power BI or similar business intelligence tools, including building and maintaining interactive dashboards to support data-driven decision-making, is highly preferred.

· Strong analytical and data management skills.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

· $70,500 to $85,000 DOE
