About Your Team

You’ll be part of the Group Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Reporting Manager and working closely with the Group Finance Director . You’ll collaborate with finance teams across subsidiaries, ensuring that all reporting processes are accurate, compliant, and aligned with ALEC’s strategic objectives.


Your Role

As Analyst – Financial Reporting , you will:

  • Assist in preparing consolidated and stand-alone financial statements for the Group and assigned entities.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes across subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits , ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Manage inter-company transactions , reconciliations, and eliminations to ensure accuracy in consolidated results.
  • Work closely with accounting teams to maintain accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Support monthly Group management reporting , ensuring timely delivery of key financial information.
  • Develop and enhance the financial control environment by identifying improvement areas and implementing effective controls.
  • Assist in the implementation and automation of consolidation processes through FCCS/Oracle systems .
  • Conduct analytical reviews of material movements in the Balance Sheet and Income Statement .
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to leverage technology for improved reporting and data accuracy.
  • Stay updated on IFRS developments and ensure ALEC’s reporting remains fully compliant with applicable standards.


What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within a large professional services or group reporting environment.
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required or in progress.


Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel (advanced skills required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic .
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.


Desirable

  • Experience with Oracle , FCCS , or Cognos reporting tools.
  • Exposure to listed or large group reporting environments.
  • Experience supporting external audits and financial consolidations.
