Financial Reporting Analyst - Istanbul

Are you an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst (minimum 5–6 years of experience) looking to join our team at the Istanbul Representative Office of GarantiBank International?

Your role

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of Group Financial Reporting Packages in accordance with IFRS/BRSA requirements on a monthly basis
• Following up on the Group’s updates to accounting policies and procedures and communicating these to stakeholders
• Supporting the month-end financial statement closing process
• Assist in preparation of GBI statutory financial statements and disclosures for the annual report
• Delivering ad-hoc reports and preparing presentations for the Bank’s top management

Skills/Qualifications

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to critically analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or potential areas of improvement.
• Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy and detail, especially in reviewing and preparing financial reports and controls.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying problems and developing solutions, especially related to financial processes and control issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, Finance, and Auditors) and external stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team, both within the Financial Control and Reporting department and across the organization.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of reporting, audits, and control processes.
• Adaptability: Flexibility in handling changes, especially in the implementation of new systems, accounting standards, or processes.
• Leadership & Coaching: Experience in leading teams and coaching junior employees within the department.
• Proactivity: A self-starter mindset to initiate and implement control improvements and ensure ongoing compliance with reporting requirements.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field: A strong academic background in financial management or accountancy.
