Financial/Insurance Coordinator

Overview:

  • The ideal candidate will have dental or orthodontic work experience.
  • Experience with verifying insurance benefits for patients.
  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be detailed-oriented.
  • Computer skills essential.
  • Must be a team player.

Job Description:

  • Accounting responsibilities not limited to: Post patient and insurance payments, reconcile end-of-day payments, manage and audit patient accounts, and manage patient collection accounts.
  • Working knowledge of practice management software.
  • Enter patient contracts.
  • Explain insurance benefits to patients/parents and finalize payment for out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Review daily schedule in an effort to collect payments for patients starting treatment.
  • Provide doctor with list of next weeks’ starting patients for treatment plan review.
  • Follow collection protocols for delinquent accounts.
  • Manage month-end and beginning-of-month reports.
  • Back up for front desk scheduling coordinators (i.e. answer incoming calls, schedule patients).
  • Participate in rotating offices duties.

Schedule:

  • No nights/No weekends
  • Hours: 36 - 40 hours per week (Monday – Thursday)

Experience:

  • License/Certification: Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1 year of insurance and accounting experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of medical billing (preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Omaha, NE 68130: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
