Finastra Trade services consultant

Location: Doha, Qatar

Contract: 12 months (extendable)

Experience: 5–7 years (max 8 years)

We are looking for a Finastra Trade Services Technical Consultant to provide L2/L3 production support for Trade Finance applications. The role involves supporting, configuring, and customizing Finastra (Misys) Trade Innovation Plus – TI+ , performing incident management, log analysis, and working closely with business users, vendors, and internal IT teams to ensure system stability and SLA compliance.

Key Skills:

Java/J2EE, Finastra, TI+, CMT, TI Data Model, SQL, XML, Web Services, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, L2/L3 Support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient support to various Trade Finance Systems and related application in the bank.
• Take ownership of issues raised by users directly or via other channels. Ensure that these are responded to, and to resolve it or redirect it according to internal teams via escalation procedure.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that issues are resolved and closed (within SLA) with proper problem analysis, fixing, testing and releases of fixes
• Provide requested statistics gathered from incident/change management system for refinement in problem/change management
• Take complete ownership in tracking and resolving incidents/issues/changes assigned.
• To be the point of contact for business users relating to services provided by IT application support
• Ensure total comfort level and relationship management with users through effective communication, commitment management, technical value additions and leadership

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor/Masters degree in IT, Computer Engineering or Financial studies with IT background
• Experience in functional/technical leadership
• Experience in dealing and managing external vendors and business users
• Strong presentation and influencing skills. Good track record in delivering end user support (relationship management) in past experiences
• Knowledge of relevant IT development tools and databases – Eclipse, Tomcat, Java/J2EE, XML, SQL, Web logic, Web Sphere and SVN.
• Exposure to various technologies like Struts, spring, IBATIS, Web Services.
• Excellent exposure on configuring and customizing TI+ (Misys Trade Innovation Plus)
• Exposure of TI data model and excellent hands on using Data Model Viewer in day-to-day activities.
• Exposure on using CMT (Misys Configuration Management Tool)
