Role Overview

As a Fine Artist at The Murphy Studio, you will be responsible for creating hand-drawn and hand-painted artworks that will be adapted into wallpaper collections. Your work will serve as the foundation of our designs, blending fine art with interior design applications. This role requires a balance of artistic talent, attention to detail, and an understanding of visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
● Create original, hand-drawn, and hand-painted artworks (botanical, abstract, landscapes, figurative, or conceptual themes) for wallpaper collections.
● Translate design concepts into artwork that aligns with the brand’s aesthetic.
● Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure artwork is suitable for large-scale wallpaper production.
● Experiment with different mediums (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, mixed media) to produce versatile art styles.
● Prepare artwork for digitization and work with graphic designers to adapt hand-painted designs for print.
● Maintain organized documentation of sketches, paintings, and concept explorations.
● Stay updated with art and design trends relevant to interior spaces and wall décor.

Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fine Arts or related field (preferred).
● Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in drawing and painting across various mediums.
● Ability to conceptualize and execute both detailed and large-scale artworks. ● Knowledge of art-to-digital workflows (scanning, digitization) is a plus.
● Passion for interiors, wallpapers, and visual storytelling through art.
● Attention to detail, creative flair, and the ability to work under timelines.

Good to Have
● Experience in surface design, textile design, or wallpaper/mural art.
● Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator (for collaboration with design team).
● An understanding of color theory and composition for interiors.

Job Type: Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
