POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare and serve the highest quality beverages to guests either directly at the bar top or through wait staff. Provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while upholding A Good Egg Dining Group’s mission to positively impact lives by building enduring memories and multigenerational relationships through a dedication to executional excellence, intentional service, extreme hospitality, and culinary trust.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beer, spirits and wine.
- Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu, specials, and be able to answer any question customers may have effectively.
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests and ensures 100% accuracy when entering orders into the POS system.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
- Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Must have average to above average knowledge regarding beer, wine and spirits.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and safely lift up to 25 pounds.
