Fine Dining Host

Job Overview:
Resonant is looking for hosts to join our opening team!

A crucial part of the Resonant experience, the Host is often the first representative of the restaurant that the guest interacts with. Your warmth, poise, and calm attentiveness sets the tone for every guest who walks through our doors. You oversee the flow of the dining room, manage reservations and guest communication, and ensure that every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and understood. This role works closely with the FoH Manager, Chef de Cuisine, and Service Captains to maintain the rhythm of the tasting menu, anticipate needs, and uphold the standards that define Resonant.

Guest Experience & Hospitality Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine presence.
  • Guide guests through arrival, seating, and departure with ease and intention.
  • Maintain awareness of & communicate guest needs and preferences.
  • Resolve issues with grace, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Uphold the tone and philosophy of Resonant’s hospitality.

Dining Room Flow & Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the reservation book and seating chart with precision.
  • Coordinate timing between FOH and BOH to maintain menu pacing.
  • Communicate table status, timing adjustments, and special requests to the service team.
  • Maintain awareness of the entire room’s rhythm and energy.
  • Support the service team during high‑volume or high‑pressure moments.

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities:

  • Monitor reservation platforms, guest notes, and communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate waitlists, confirmations, and special‑occasion details.
  • Support opening and closing procedures for the dining room.
  • Assist with guest follow‑up, feedback tracking, and service recovery.
  • Maintain organization of host stands, menus, and guest materials.

Candidate Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating hospitality and guest relations expertise
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
  • Previous host/hostess experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting preferred
  • Experience with food service operations and familiarity with Tock preferred

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
