About the role

The Finished Oil Loader is responsible for loading/unloading oil into and out of trucks and rail cars. Also responsible for sending approved products to K1 via oil lines. This is controlled via computer systems, some meters and scales but mostly by manually turning valves/switches/controls. The Finished Oil Loader is also responsible for removing waste products to trailers. Finally, the position must take frequent samples throughout the department to ensure the oil maintains its quality while awaiting movement.


Responsibilities

Safety & Environmental Performance
Identify high-risk safety/productivity issues and help to remedy them.
Support full plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses.
Encourage employees to look for ways to improve safety and production processes.
Prevention and timely reporting of any environmental issues.
Adhere to GMP, PPE and other work procedures as to assure product quality and consistency to our customers.
Prevent injuries by encouraging employees to work safely
Reporting any incidents, accidents, spills or near misses immediately.

Pump the correct product to the correct designated location, whether car, trailer, tank or building
Quality Sample each product and get lab approval
If possible, all products must be on time unless production is behind
Pumps to K1, must be itemized thoroughly and verified lines open with air before moving
Maintain filtration systems and CCP, and use proper LOTO procedures
Communicate properly with the lab, K1 and supervision
Enter loading information into the ITS system
Enter oil movement into OIS system
Ability to follow job related SOP’s for finished oil loader
Enter loading information into Truck Loading Log
Perform any and all tasks assigned to you by a member of the AAK management team provided the task is approved by your supervisor.
Monitor and update Live boards and temperature sheets
Communicate with incoming truck or rail carloads to make sure they are clean with clean hoses and are sealed properly.
Monitor several different oil lines, storage tanks and waste tanks
Control panels and valves to open and close flow pipes, steam to coils, air to lines and oil to pumps
Sample and pump down designated delivery trailers and rail cars
Load all bulk shipments from the storage to the trailer

Cost Control
Reduce the amount of rework by participating in employee involvement, process improvement and adherence to process guidelines
Ensure work is completed to customers specifications
Contribute to the effort in controlling costs and minimizing waste in your daily work

About you

High school diploma or GED with some aptitude in machines and industrial knowledge
Ability to learn to drive a tractor trailer and other heavy machinery
Must be able to climb, bend and stoop, lift up to 60 lbs. frequently, and stand/walk for long periods of time.
Recordkeeping, reading temperature gauges, monitoring storage volume and contents, and paper documentation of loads and tracking of trailers is required.
CDL Class A if possible and strong background in industrial knowledge.
Some knowledge of pumps, pressures, flowmeters, and valve types preferred
