Main Job Purpose
The Finished Vehicle Logistics Technician is responsible for the accurate handling, inspection, movement, and dispatch of finished vehicles within the stockyard. The role ensures vehicle quality, proper documentation, inventory accuracy, and compliance with operational and safety standards to support the seamless flow of vehicles from receipt to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming vehicles and verify all information with delivery documents.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify damages, defects, or missing components.
- Conduct routine checks on vehicle accessories and equipment.
- Perform basic technical checks such as battery condition, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
- Document inspection results using approved digital tools and systems.
- Perform PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) procedures according to OEM and company standards.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, charged, and fully functional before dispatch.
- Tag and label vehicles based on operational requirements.
- Coordinate with workshop teams for maintenance or repairs needed before vehicle release.
- Support daily yard and dispatch operations to ensure smooth and on-time deliveries.
- Support process improvements and standardization initiatives in the yard.
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in vehicle logistics, stockyard operations, or vehicle inspection (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems, PDI procedures, and inspection tools.
- Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
