Finishing carpenter

We are seeking a Highly Skilled Finishing Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finish carpentry, with a strong eye for detail and precision. You will be responsible for completing high-quality woodworking projects, including trim, moldings, cabinetry, and custom wood installations, to meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Analyze blueprints and project plans to understand the design specifications.
• Installation of Trim and Moldings: Install baseboards, crown molding, doors, window casings, and other custom trims.
• Custom Woodworking: Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and furniture as per design specifications.
• Surface Preparation: Sand, stain, or finish wood surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
• Repair Work: Restore and repair wooden structures, furniture, and surfaces with precision and attention to detail.
• Measurement and Cutting: Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood materials to fit perfectly within spaces and design plans.
• Collaborating with Other Trades: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
• Maintaining Tools and Equipment: Ensure tools are in optimal condition for precision work and adhere to safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect and ensure that all carpentry work meets company standards and client expectations.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a finishing carpenter.
• Expertise in reading blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Strong knowledge of wood types, finishes, and carpentry techniques.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
