Finishing Operator

The Finishing Technician meticulously inspects and polishes custom-made products using specialized equipment in a well-lit environment. This detail-oriented role requires a commitment to achieving a flawless finish.

• Prioritize production of counter dies to meet established deadlines and shipping schedules.
• Ensure proper finishing and counter die making techniques are followed throughout the process.
• In a well-lit workstation, utilize sanding blocks and a Drummel tool station (equipped with various fine-polishing tips) to sand, smooth, and polish metal stamping dies to achieve a flawless finish.
• Meticulously finish all counter dies, adhering to h+m's established quality standards.
• Conduct thorough initial and final inspections as outlined in the Work Order and Quality Manual.
• Perform die strikes as needed for internal or customer requirements.
• Participate in monthly and year-end inventory counts for raw materials, shop supplies, and finished goods.
• Assist the Counterdie Technician during peak times or absences to ensure smooth operation.
• Be open to cross-training opportunities to serve as backup for other roles.
• Process incoming shipments of raw materials and shop supplies.
• Unpack, stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Submit completed and stamped packing slips to the office.
• Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge on reading calipers/tape measure.
Manufacturing experience
Manufacturing metalwork Counter Die is preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office plus
