Fire Alarm Designer

Caruth Protection Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. Successful applicants will be trained on the fundamentals of Fire Alarm systems and how to provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, and team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with Sales, Project Managers, and Technical staff to interpret project specs and drawings, determine system layout
• Create Fire Alarm submittal documents and record drawings using AutoCAD and MS Office software
• Perform to a professional standard for accurate, neat, error free work with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Review individual drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy of work performed
• Understand and utilize company-drafting procedures
• Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that the company offers
• Promote a team environment, assisting other Design Engineers and staff with their projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned
