Responsibilities

Design Review & Technical Validation

  • Review fire alarm system design drawings, wiring schematics, load calculations, device layouts, and control logic.
  • Validate system design against local civil defence requirements, NFPA standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants and project stakeholders for technical clarifications, submittals, and approvals.

System Programming & Configuration

  • Program addressable and conventional fire alarm panels from leading brands (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, EST, Honeywell).
  • Configure detectors, modules, sounders, and other peripherals according to the cause-and-effect matrix.
  • Perform loop testing and ensure all devices respond according to programmed logic.

Installation Oversight & Site Supervision

  • Coordinate with installation teams to ensure proper mounting, cabling, device positioning, and panel setup.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that installation matches approved shop drawings and technical requirements.
  • Ensure installation complies with safety standards and regulatory approvals.

Testing, Commissioning & Civil Defense Approval

  • Lead system testing, loop verification, fault simulations, and final commissioning procedures.
  • Prepare and conduct civil defense inspections, fire drill simulations, and related documentation.
  • Ensure final system handover with client sign-off and civil defense certification.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare all necessary documentation including test reports, commissioning forms, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
  • Maintain progress tracking, snagging logs, compliance checklists, and close-out reports.
  • Ensure all technical documents are properly formatted, reviewed, and submitted as per project standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Working Experience as Project Engineer
  • Fire detection and alarm systems expertise
  • Panel programming and system configuration
  • Regulatory and civil defense compliance
  • Quality control and commissioning
  • Technical documentation and reporting
  • Strong communication and teamwork
