Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings. This role ensures that all fire alarm systems are functioning properly and in compliance with safety codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems, including wiring and devices, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems to ensure prompt and effective repairs.
• Perform routine testing of fire alarms, detectors, and control panels to verify functionality and compliance with safety codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system installations, inspections, repairs, and testing results.
• Respond to emergency service calls and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with building management and other contractors to ensure the seamless integration of fire protection systems.
• Stay updated on local fire codes, standards, and new technologies in fire alarm systems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA codes, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

• More than 2 years of hands-on experience in fire alarm systems or a related field (preferred).
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems across various brands.
• Knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
• Relevant licensing and certification as required by local authorities (preferred but not mandatory).
