Lead the firefighting and emergency responses team, command emergency operations. Manage day to day operations of the shifts, schedule and administer duties. Respond to any operational abnormalities, ensure that the fire protection operations are conducted in a meticulous and vigilant manner. Ensure all government regulations related to fire safety are followed and implemented appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Lead the firefighting and emergency responses team, command emergency operations. Manage day to day operations of the shifts, schedule and administer duties.
- Conduct risk assessment inspections, visit the organization premises to identify hazards and develop mitigation plans.
- Inspect buildings to locate hazardous conditions and fire code violations, such as accumulations of combustible material, electrical wiring problems, and inadequate or non-functional fire exits.
- Conduct fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure that corrective actions have been taken in cases where violations were found.
- Ensure that technical specifications for firefighting equipment (fire trucks, foam/water carriers, emergency vehicles, rescue equipment, advance control vehicles, and portable equipment) are in place and in good shape
- Inspect properties that store, handle, and use hazardous materials to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations, and issue hazardous materials permits to facilities found in compliance
- Ensure that proper firefighting and emergency response techniques are applied. Respond to all kinds of emergencies such as fire, toxic, gas leaks, rescue of people and attend incidents safely and promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Fire Protection
- 9 - 12 years of relevant experience.
- Certification in Fire Protection.
