Job Purpose


The Fire Chief is accountable for leading and managing the site-wide fire and emergency response function to ensure the protection of life, assets, and business continuity. The role provides strategic oversight of fire prevention, preparedness, emergency response, and compliance with national and MA’ADEN safety standards.


Key Accountabilities


  • Fire Prevention & Risk Management
  • Conduct and validate regular fire risk assessments across plants and high‑risk areas.
  • Approve and oversee implementation of fire hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure functionality and compliance of all fire protection systems (alarms, suppression, extinguishers).
2. Emergency Response Leadership
  • Serve as the Incident Commander for major fire incidents and emergencies.
  • Lead and supervise Fire Response Teams during drills and real events.
  • Maintain and review the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and coordinate with external authorities.

3. Fire Team & Operational Leadership
  • Supervise and develop the full fire team, including firefighters, wardens, technicians, and emergency response personnel.
  • Ensure readiness of equipment, manpower, and vehicles.
  • Oversee Fire Station operations to maintain 24/7 readiness.

4. Training, Awareness & Drills
  • Approve and supervise fire safety training programs for employees, contractors, and emergency teams.
  • Ensure periodic evacuation, rescue, and emergency response drills.

5. Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi fire codes, NFPA standards, MA’ADEN EHSS procedures.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, incidents, ERP updates, drills, and compliance records.

6. Strategic Planning & Organizational Coordination
  • Support workforce planning and organizational design for Fire & Emergency Response.
  • Communicate resource needs and participate in recruitment (e.g., Fire Chief Requisition 7325)

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • 10+ years in Fire & Emergency Services, including significant leadership or command‑level experience.

  • Experience in high‑risk industrial environments (mining, petrochemical, or manufacturing)

  • Bachelor degree in fire engineering or equivalent
