Lead the future of fire and emergency services in one of Minnesota’s growing communities. The City of Ramsey is seeking an experienced and Fire Chief to lead its combination Fire Department of career and paid-on-call firefighters. The Fire Chief provides strategic leadership and direction for departmental operations, including fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, training, fire prevention, inspections, investigations, and education. The position also serves as the City’s Emergency Management Director, overseeing disaster preparedness, response planning, and recovery efforts to ensure the community is ready to respond to emergencies and evolving risks. As a member of the City’s Leadership Team, the Fire Chief works closely with the City Administrator and City Council to provide guidance on safety initiatives, long-range planning, and service delivery for a growing community.
