Fire District Station Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Fire District Station Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our fire station. This vital role involves managing daily station activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel, and maintaining high standards of emergency response readiness. Duties

• Supervise daily station operations, including personnel management, equipment maintenance, and station logistics
• Coordinate emergency response efforts, ensuring rapid and effective action during incidents
• Oversee training programs for staff in firefighting techniques, first aid, CPR, and basic life support to maintain certification standards
• Ensure all personnel are equipped with necessary protective gear and medical supplies, including EMT supplies and first aid kits
• Conduct regular safety inspections, mechanical checks of fire apparatus, and review of vital signs monitoring procedures
• Manage administrative tasks such as shift scheduling, incident documentation, and compliance reporting
• Facilitate communication between team members, local emergency services, and community partners to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience in firefighting or emergency medical services (EMT experience preferred)
• Valid certification in first aid, CPR, basic life support (BLS), and EMT training
• Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record for heavy vehicle operation (Commercial driving)
• Mechanical knowledge related to fire apparatus and emergency equipment maintenance
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during equipment handling or rescue operations
• Strong understanding of vital signs assessment and basic medical procedures
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in high-pressure situations

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
