Job Title: Fire Fighter Supervisor – Oil & Gas
Location: Qatar
Department: HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) – Fire & Emergency Response
Reporting To: Fire & Emergency Response Superintendent / Fire Chief
The Fire Fighter Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of fire and rescue personnel within oil & gas facilities, ensuring readiness and effective response to emergencies including fires, gas leaks, chemical spills, and rescue operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of firefighting experience in oil & gas or petrochemical facilities.
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or crew leader position.
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of fire crew personnel across oil & gas installations, such as refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, or offshore platforms.
- Act as the Incident Commander during initial emergency response until relieved by senior authority.
- Ensure firefighting teams are trained, equipped, and prepared for incidents involving hydrocarbon fires, hazardous materials, confined space rescue, and emergency medical response.
- Conduct regular fire drills, simulations, and scenario-based training to maintain operational readiness.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems (e.g., foam systems, deluge systems, fire extinguishers, hydrants, SCBA).
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy, QP (Qatar Petroleum), and other regulatory fire safety standards.
