A Fire Fighting Design & Drafting Engineer creates detailed plans for fire suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms) for buildings, ensuring compliance with codes (NFPA, NBC) using CAD/BIM software like AutoCAD/Revit, performing hydraulic calculations, coordinating with other teams (HVAC, Electrical), and preparing documentation for construction, requiring strong technical skills and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Calculation: Develop designs for fire water systems, sprinkler systems, hydrants, and smoke control, including hydraulic calculations for water flow and pressure.
  • Drafting: Create accurate technical drawings (layouts, schematics, P&IDs, as-builts) using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local and international fire safety standards (NFPA, NBC, OISD, IPC).
  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to integrate fire systems with other building services.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical submittals, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and datasheets for equipment.
  • Project Support: Assist with cost estimates, vendor coordination, and technical bid evaluations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and familiarity with Revit/BIM.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic calculation software (e.g., PipeNet).
  • Strong understanding of fire safety codes and standards.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Experience in process plants or large infrastructure projects is often preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,616.76 - ₹42,586.10 per month
