Job Summary
The Fire Fighting Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, service, and maintain fire fighting systems including fire alarms, fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers, and suppression systems.
· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per schedules and standards.
· Test fire protection systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with civil defense and international standards.
· Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs promptly and efficiently.
· Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns when required.
· Prepare service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance records.
· Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
· Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients during maintenance and inspections.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Diploma or technical certification in Fire Fighting Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
· Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fire fighting systems installation and maintenance.
· Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations.
· Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Physically fit and able to work at heights or confined spaces when required.
