Fire & Life Safety Engineer (Architectural Background)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fire & Life Safety Engineer with an Architectural background to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that building designs comply with fire safety regulations, life safety codes, and international standards. The candidate should be able to integrate fire protection strategies within architectural design while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings and ensure compliance with fire and life safety regulations.
• Develop and implement Fire & Life Safety strategies for building projects.
• Prepare fire safety reports, evacuation plans, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and authorities for approvals.
• Ensure compliance with international codes such as NFPA, IBC, and local civil defense requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify fire safety installations and systems.
• Provide technical guidance during design and construction phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fire & life safety engineering or consultancy.
• Strong understanding of fire codes, life safety standards, and building regulations.
• Experience reviewing architectural drawings and fire safety layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, or similar design software.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
