In this client facing role you will manage a diverse project workload across the Middle East, demonstrating experience and passion in code consulting, performance based design, and fire protection system design. Tasks include working with high rise buildings, commercial centers, bridges, stadiums and other hospitality facilities.

This position will be based out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia or Dubai, UAE, with responsibility for projects across the Middle East and involving 50% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for key Jensen Hughes projects across the Middle East for various fire and life safety projects primarily in the hospitality sector
  • Conduct code consulting, fire safety drawing reviews and report preparation
  • Attend client project and design meetings, manage project expectations and complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget
  • Prepare and present technical reports
  • Lead and carry out design reviews, participate in business development meetings and presentations with clients assisting in development of effective business proposals and solutions
  • Travel extensively (over 50%) to support hospitality meetings, workshops, audits and inspections
Qualifications and other Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Safety Engineering
  • Relevant experience in code consulting and developing performance based strategies in a project design environment
  • 5 or more years of experience in fire engineering
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills, strong oral communication, ability to present clear and technically sound fire engineering strategies, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges and contributing to the long term growth of Jensen Hughes
  • Strong project management capabilities and understanding of project financials
