Fire Protection Engineer/Designer

We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer / Designer to join our Team!

The Fire Protection Engineer / Designer will be a professional, team-oriented, positive person that takes initiative, is dependable and takes pride their work.

The Primary function is to work with general supervision and direction on Fire Protection’ design for Educational, Healthcare, Aviation and Commercial Projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop and create engineering construction documents, and the design and specification of Fire Protection systems.

· Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the Fire Protection Team

· Work on multiple projects, meet project budgets and schedules

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum +5 years of experience

· Working knowledge of Florida, Mechanical, Energy and Plumbing Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards, ANSI, NFPA and other building codes.

· Strong knowledge of Fire Protection systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.

· Conduct quality control on projects and check the work of others for accuracy and completeness.

· Must have strong design skills using AutoCad, REVIT and Microsoft Office Suite

· Good oral and written communications skills

Education

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, EIT and / or PE preferred

· Working towards licensure

· LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
