We're hiring a Fire Sprinkler Designer. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for creating precise, efficient, and compliant sprinkler system designs that meet project specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will help ensure the safety of buildings and their occupants while supporting the successful execution of construction projects. <Duties>

  • Develop detailed fire sprinkler system layouts using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and NavisWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Interpret architectural and mechanical schematics to produce comprehensive system designs aligned with applicable codes, including ASME standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate sprinkler systems seamlessly into building plans, considering space constraints and mechanical considerations.
  • Generate technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions that clearly communicate design intent for manufacturing and installation.
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER for complex system design and validation.
  • Conduct system design analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to optimize performance and safety margins.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations while maintaining high-quality documentation for construction purposes.

<Skills>

  • Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Schematics tools, and 2D animation for detailed drafting and visualization.
  • Strong mechanical engineering foundation with knowledge of mechanical design principles, assembly processes, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to piping and pressure systems to ensure compliance.
  • Experience in construction document preparation, technical writing, and creating detailed schematics for fabrication and installation.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and translate them into practical system designs.
  • Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) techniques for structural assessment of sprinkler components.
  • Understanding of plumbing systems, fire protection standards, and building codes relevant to fire sprinkler design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.21 - $36.38 per hour
