Fire Sprinkler Designer/CAD Technician

Associated Fire Protection, Inc. (AFP) — a trusted fire protection contractor since 1973, is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler Designer/CAD Technician that is wanting to take the next step in your design career with long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and prepare fire sprinkler system layouts for a wide range of commercial projects using AutoCAD.
  • Assist with field surveys, coordination, and redline updates.
  • Generate accurate material and fabrication lists for our in-house shop.
  • Work closely with Project Managers from design through project completion.
  • Learn fire protection codes, standards, and design best practices through on-the-job training.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
  • Education or certification in CAD, engineering, or design (preferred).
  • Experience with BIM/Revit and/or NICET certification (a plus).
  • Safety-conscious mindset and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
