Fire Sprinkler Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team! In this critical role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure safety and compliance across a variety of construction and service projects. Your work will play a key role in protecting lives and property by ensuring systems are reliable, code-compliant, and fully operational.

This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on in the field, collaborate with multiple trades, and contribute directly to life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Install, repair, and modify fire sprinkler systems including piping, valves, and fittings
• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with NFPA standards
• Verify installations meet design specifications and applicable codes
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs
• Coordinate with contractors, electricians, and fire alarm technicians
• Conduct system startups, commissioning, and acceptance testing
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and service work
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings
• Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge)
• Familiarity with NFPA codes (NFPA 13, 25, and related standards)
• Experience with pipe fitting, threading, and grooving preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
• Experience in construction, service, or fire protection industry preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
