Fire Suppression Systems Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Fire Suppression Systems Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for pre-design, designing, BIMdetailing, Submitting, Listing of fire suppression systems, Hybrid Vortex, HCT F500 Lithium extinguishing systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, extensive experience with AutoCAD software, SprinkCAD or AutoSprink. and familiarity with industry codes and standards. This position offers an opportunity to advance through continued education programs toward FPE, Nicet 4, ICC and NFPA Certs. We currently also own PEAK Fire Life Safety which is a design and consulting arm of Systems Tech Inc.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed system designs for fire suppression solutions utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam and Revzito.
• Create accurate schematics and technical drawings in accordance with local and state codes & standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with project engineers and clients to interpret design specifications and translate them into comprehensive system layouts.
• Utilize software like NavisWorks, AutodeskBIM 360, and Revzito 3D modeling.
• Prepare technical documentation including system schematics and project requirements.
• Participate in ZOOM or TEAMS review meetings to present design concepts and address technical challenges effectively and politely.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SprinkCAD or AutoSPRINK
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, schematics development, and system design processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create detailed drafting documentation.
• Familiarity with construction processes and spec writing for project documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• A desire to progress in fire protection engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,800.00 - $115,000.00 per year
