Position Title: Fire Watch Security Officer

Position Summary:
ATA Guard Security Provider is seeking reliable and professional Fire Watch Security Officers to monitor properties where fire alarm, sprinkler, or suppression systems are impaired. Officers are responsible for conducting patrols, identifying fire hazards, maintaining detailed logs, and ensuring the safety of occupants and property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform continuous patrols of assigned property to identify fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor buildings during fire alarm, sprinkler, or suppression system outages.
• Maintain accurate fire watch logs and incident reports.
• Immediately contact emergency services in the event of smoke, fire, or other emergencies.
• Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to management.
• Conduct patrols at required intervals and document findings.
• Follow all client post orders and company procedures.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
• Submit required reports, photos, and documentation before the end of each shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Security or fire watch experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be dependable, professional, and punctual.

Requirements

• Must pass a background screening (if required).
• Must possess a valid security license where required by state regulations.
• Must have a working smartphone for reporting and communication.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency assignments.

Physical Requirements

• Walk patrol routes for extended periods.
• Climb stairs and access multiple building levels.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds when necessary.
