Firearms Retail Sales Associate

POSITION

The Firearms Retail Sales Associate position is responsible for overall showroom guest experience. Individuals in this position must be able to engage with customers and inform and educate them on products sold, with a sense of motivation and enthusiasm.

**Personal or professional firearms experience is a must. **

**Specific knowledge of Glock handguns is preferred.**

Responsibilities (Firearms Retail Sales Associate):

• Assist customers in the retail store with the sale of firearms and the sale and installation of parts and accessories.
• Perform tasks associated with range safety enforcement, education, and awareness while performing superior customer service.
• Instruct clients in various shooting programs from basic handgun safety to advanced defensive tactical courses.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication to showroom guests
• Answer and resolve customer issues; provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
• Complete knowledge of a Glock, troubleshooting standard Glock product issues.
• Demonstrate products to customers
• Increase sales by making product suggestions to customers
• Generate sales leads that develop into new customers
• Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
• Contribute to team effort by being supportive and helpful
• Maintain Product knowledge / Market knowledge.
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using Netsuite, glockstore.com, and other online research techniques.
• Work overtime and weekends when required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Firearms Sales Associate):

• The Firearms Sales Associate must have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to interact and work with a wide variance of customers and employees.
• High attention to detail -- accuracy is a must!
• Willingness to learn techniques on-the-fly and accommodate special requests from customers. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Previous experience in the firearms industry required
• Must have knowledge of the proper and safe handling of a variety of firearms; range safety practices; program rules/regulations, policies, and procedures; all applicable DOJ laws, and general knowledge of mechanical equipment.
• Must have acquired skills, education, and background knowledge in firearms, and multi-tasking while maintaining situational awareness.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to pass DOJ/FBI style background check and drug test.

PAY: $18 hr plus commission
