Firefighter

Non-Certified position starts at $35.270.32 until completing Certification, at which time the pay changes to $37,959.68. If already Certified, pay depends on current experience and rank.

This position is responsible for performing fire suppression and emergency response duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· One year of related experience required. Pay for this position is based on experience and rank.

· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

· Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Act.

· Class F Driver’s License issued by the State of Georgia

· NPQ Firefighter 1

· Hazmat awareness and operations

· NIMS 100, 200,700, 800

· Have an oral interview with the hiring authority or his representative (s) to determine such things an applicant’s appearance, background, and ability to communicate.
