The hiring range for this position is $49,800.37 (minimum salary) to $68,582.68 (midpoint of range) dependent upon qualifications.
This position performs technical duties in the suppression of fire and in response to medical emergencies, natural disasters, and other emergency situations. The purpose of this position is to perform fire suppression and rescue operations. Successful performance contributes to the safety of lives and property.Major Duties

The work is typically performed while or while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and must be able to distinguish between shades of color. The work is typically performed in an office and at emergency and fire scenes. The employee may be exposed to noise, machinery with moving parts, contagious or infectious diseases, or irritating chemicals. The work may be performed outdoors and occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
