Firefighter / EMT Paid On-Call (Part-Time)

The Ann Arbor Charter Township Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of paid-on-call firefighter. No Experience is necessary. Paid training for Michigan Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic certifications are provided upon hiring as well as additional paid training opportunities.

Successful candidates must be seeking a fast paced, growing department, and have the desire to deliver state of the art fire-rescue services to the community. Additionally, successful candidates must possess characteristics of an outstanding fire service professional, including honesty, integrity, dedication, caring, and believe in teamwork. Applicants must live within 3-5 miles of our township border or agree to relocate within 45 days of hire.

We hire in a class rotation system. We have classes starting in March, June, and October. To be part of those classes please be aware our application proccess can take up to a month and we advise applying at least a month before those classes start if you wish to make a specific one.
