Praetorian Fire Rescue (PFR) is recruiting experienced firefighters for possible upcoming medium-term deployments up too (6+ months) across the continental United States and select South Pacific locations. These positions are supporting existing operations, including back-filling established stations and providing surge capacity on active projects. PFR operates in high-risk, complex environments supporting industrial fire response, disaster operations, and environmental recovery efforts. These are not entry-level positions candidates are expected to arrive fully qualified with current certifications and real-world experience.

In this role, you will operate at the front line of emergency response, combining firefighting, rescue, and medical capabilities to protect life, property, and critical infrastructure. Assignments may occur in remote or austere environments and require long operational periods, strict adherence to safety protocols, and integration within structured command systems alongside multi-agency teams.

Compensation starts at $600/day and increases based on qualifications and experience. Housing, per diem, and travel accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities include responding to fire alarms, industrial incidents, aircraft emergencies, and medical calls; operating firefighting and rescue equipment; performing suppression and extrication; administering first aid, CPR, and basic life support; monitoring patient conditions and documenting incident details; conducting routine inspections and maintenance of apparatus and equipment; and supporting safe vehicle and equipment operations. Personnel will coordinate closely with team members and external partners to execute effective response operations in high-risk environments.

Minimum requirements include current IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter I & II certification, valid driver’s license, and a current medical physical (or ability to pass one prior to deployment). Candidates must be physically capable of demanding work, able to deploy for 6+ months, and experienced in emergency response environments.

Preferred qualifications can include EMT or Paramedic certification, ARFF, Hazardous Materials (Operations or Technician), commercial driving experience, and prior work in industrial, wildland, municipal, military and disaster response environments. Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. DoD experience a definite plus.

These positions may serve as responsible officer or in a junior position for the day - flexibility, and professionalism in positions as a team player is a must.

Once qualified, vetted and approved you would be considered deployable. Call outs happen quick.
