Firefighter – volunteer/paid-on-call

JOB The City of Monroe is currently accepting applications for the position of Paid-On-Call Firefighter. This is an excellent opportunity to serve your community in a meaningful way while gaining valuable training and experience. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• Respond to 3–5 emergency calls per week
• Attend required training (2 Tuesday nights/month)
• Maintenance Crew (2 Thursday nights/month)
• Participate in firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical operations
• Maintain readiness of equipment, vehicles, and facilities
• Engage in community fire prevention and public education efforts
