Full Time Firefighter/AEMT- Limington
Limington Fire-EMS (LFEMS) seeks career-oriented teammates eager to serve the community. We are currently seeking candidates to fill (2) two open positions for career Firefighter/AEMT and also accepting applications for per diem staff at all license levels. Interested candidates should apply by submitting all the following required materials: Town of Limington job application with signed background check authorization form, cover letter (addressed to Deputy Chief Corin Meehan), resume, copies of valid driver’s license, Maine EMS licensure, and documentation of all applicable certifications and training.
The position of Firefighter/EMT provides emergency medical and firefighting services, participates in community risk reduction events, provides life-safety inspections, attends drills and trainings, inspects and maintains equipment, and performs other related duties.
Full-time candidates must obtain a Paramedic license within two years of hire, if not already at the Paramedic level.
Minimum Requirements:
· Candidates must be 18 years of age
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Valid Maine driver’s license with no violations within 2 years
· Must pass a criminal background check
· Must pass a candidate physical ability test
· Certified in EVOC
· NIMS Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and 200
· Maine EMS license w/ AHA BLS certification
· Certified Basic Firefighter or Firefighter 1 (meeting NFPA 1001)
Preferred Requirements:
· Maine Paramedic license
· Pro Board or IFSAC Certified Firefighter II (meeting NFPA 1001)
Benefits:
· Pay Rate: $27.24-32.36 hourly, based on qualifications
· 24hr rotating schedule with 24-on/ 48-off/ 24-on/ 96-off
· Maine PERS 3C retirement
