Full Time Firefighter / EMT

Town of Millville Fire Department

The Town of Millville is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join the Millville Fire Department as a Full Time Firefighter/EMT.

This position involves responding to fire and emergency medical incidents, participating in fire prevention and public education programs, supporting department operations, and assisting with administrative and training functions. The position is responsible for providing daytime fire and EMS coverage for the Town of Millville.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
7AM - 3PM

Additional hours may be required for department trainings or emergency response activities.

Duties Include:

• Fire suppression and rescue response
• Emergency medical response and patient care
• Public fire and life safety education
• Fire prevention and inspection activities
• Department training participation
• Administrative tasks including reporting and operational support
• Equipment, apparatus, and station maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must pass CORI/SORI and background check
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license with acceptable driving history
• Massachusetts EMT Basic certification or higher
• Massachusetts Fire Prevention Officer Basic credential

Preferred Qualifications

• Pro Board Firefighter I/II Certification or equivalent
• Fire and Life Safety Educator I/II or PFALSE training certificate
• Massachusetts Fire Prevention Officer Level 1
• Current CPR certification
• Three years experience working as an EMT in a 911 system
• Millville residency

Hourly pay is established by the Teamsters Local 170 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
