The Baker County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT. This is a full-time position with benefits. Benefits include Florida Retirement, paid vacation/sick leave, health/dental, etc. Salary is $17.00 an hour based on certifications.

Position requires: Graduation from High School or possession of a GED certificate; and possession of a valid Florida State Firefighter’s Certificate of Compliance (FF2) or Firefighter 1 Certificate; and have a Firefighter Certificate of Compliance (Firefighter 2) by the end of 6 months of hiring, Possession of certification Forestry 130, 190, L180; and possession of a valid Florida State Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certification; and Must possess a valid AHA or ARC Basic Life Support care; and Must have a valid Florida driver’s license in order to operate any apparatus; and Must pass the County’s medical examination. Must pass the County’s physical strength and agility test, and. Shall be free from any dependence on alcohol and/or controlled substances.
