Firefighter/EMT

Job Summary
The Firefighter/EMT plays a crucial role in protecting lives and property by responding to emergency situations, providing medical assistance, and ensuring public safety. This position requires a dedicated individual who is physically fit, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to serving the community. Firefighter/EMTs are responsible for operating firefighting equipment, performing rescue operations, and delivering emergency medical care to those in need.

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire suppression, rescue operations, and medical emergencies.
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) as required.
• Administer first aid and CPR to patients in emergency situations.
• Assess patients' vital signs and provide appropriate medical interventions.
• Participate in fire prevention education programs within the community.
• Conduct routine inspections of firefighting equipment and vehicles to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with other emergency services personnel during incidents.
• Engage in physical training and drills to maintain firefighting skills and physical fitness.

Skills

• Proficiency in CPR and basic life support techniques.
• Commercial driving skills for operating emergency vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge for maintaining firefighting equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during rescue operations.
• Strong understanding of vital signs assessment and emergency medical protocols.
