Firefighters provide emergency assistance, they protect life and property threatened by fire, explosion, hazardous materials, medical emergencies, accidents, and other hazards that may arise. Regular activities include emergency response, training, pre-fire planning, public education, life safety inspections, maintenance of apparatus, facilities, and equipment. Firefighters are assigned to a 24-hour rotating shift and may be exposed to hazardous conditions and risk of personal injury.
Tentative Recruitment Timeline:
Applications will be accepted beginning June 29, 2026, and must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on July 24, 2026. Applications will be reviewed beginning the week of July 27, 2026, with oral board interviews tentatively scheduled for the week of August 3, 2026. Applicants selected to advance in the recruitment process will be contacted with additional information.
