Recruit: $30.79/hour (hire date - 6 months)
Probationary Firefighter: $62,375.04 (through end of 1st year)
Pipeman: $68,402.88 (years 2-4)
Firefighter First Class: $83,224.96 (5th year)
Also may be eligible for education pay, tech pay, paramedic pay, etc.
HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITSINSURANCE PREMIUMS:
The City of Noblesville pays 80% of the medical, dental and vision premiums for full-time city employees. Insurance premiums are deducted over 24 pays per year.

Office visit co-pay: $50.00
Urgent care co-pay: $60.00

Deductible: $400.00 individual / $800.00 family
Paid by plan after deductible is met: 80%

Employee Healthcare Clinic
Full-time employees have access to a Health and Wellness Clinic which provides many health and wellness services for employees and dependents on the city's medical healthcare plan. Many of the services provided are those you would expect to receive from a family physician. The clinic also provides generic prescriptions and clinical lab testing. All services provided at the Health and Wellness Clinic are provided at no cost to the employee.

SECTION 125 - FLEX SPENDING ACCOUNTS
Flex Spending enables you to reimburse yourself for an un-reimbursed health care or dependent care expenses using pre-taxed payroll deducted dollars.
LIFE INSURANCE
Employees are provided a city paid life insurance policy in the amount of $50,000.00.
RETIREMENT
The City of Noblesville and the employee contribute money towards future retirement under the 1977 Police Officer's and Firefighter's Pension. Normal retirement occurs with 20 years of service. Your compensation would be 50% of the annual salary of a Firefighter 1st Class pay. An additional 2% per year may be earned up to 32 years of service. Visit the PERF web site at

DEFERRED COMPENSATION
Employees are eligible to participate in the deferred compensation program. The city will match a percentage of contributions up to $3,000 annually.

VOLUNTARY, EMPLOYEE PAID BENEFITS
Employees have the option to enroll in voluntary, employee-paid benefits, including: short-term disability, long-term disability, voluntary life insurance, critical illness, accident insurance, and college savings plan.
TIME OFF BENEFITSVacation
3 days : Date of hire (to use by anniversary date)
Prorated: Received on 1 year anniversary
9 days: 2 to 7 years
12 days: 8 to 15 years
15 days: 16 years +
Ability to rollover up to 48 hours of vacation year to year.
Sick Time
Firefighters earn ten (10) hours of sick time each month.
Holidays
The city recognizes and provides holiday pay for approximately eleven (11) holidays per year. A full-time firefighter working a 56 hour week who is scheduled to work, or is called to work during any part of a holiday, shall be paid an additional Ten Dollars ($10.00) per hour for those hours worked during the holiday.
Equipment & Uniforms
Firefighters shall be paid Seven Hundred Dollars ($800) per year after the first full year of employment for clothing allowance and uniform maintenance.
Wellness Benefit
The Department will provide annual physicals to each firefighter at no cost. Firefighters are encouraged to use any of the fitness sites located throughout the city at the Public Safety Building or surrounding Fire Stations.
Onsite fitness facility available 24/7 to employees and spouses at no cost.
Longevity Pay
Firefighters will receive $120 per year for for years 1-19. Longevity for years 20-25 is $250 per year ($6,250 annually) with no additional yearly accrual beyond 25 years of service.
