Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and rescue calls with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Operate fire suppression equipment, including hoses, extinguishers, and ladders to control and extinguish fires effectively
• Provide advanced medical care as a certified Paramedic, including assessing vital signs, administering first aid, CPR, and basic life support procedures
• Conduct thorough scene assessments to identify hazards and ensure safety for all team members and the public
• Perform mechanical inspections of firefighting apparatus and medical equipment regularly to ensure readiness
• Assist in mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs of firefighting tools and vehicles when necessary
• Collaborate seamlessly with other emergency responders and communicate clearly during high-stakes situations

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Firefighter and Paramedic with current state licensure or registration
• Proven EMT experience with strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures
• Demonstrated proficiency in first aid, CPR, basic life support (BLS), and vital signs assessment
• Experience operating emergency vehicles through commercial driving licenses or certifications preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to firefighting equipment and emergency vehicles is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during rescue operations or equipment handling
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and work in challenging environments for long hours

Pay: $64,840.00 - $74,276.00 per year
